Our goal for Superstream was to design a complex Kafka management tool into a professional, intuitive, and modern SaaS platform.
We aimed to create a solution that simplifies the management of servers for DevOps professionals, with a strong focus on data clarity and accessibility
The main challenge was to design a clean and intuitive interface for a domain filled with highly technical data, which is typically presented in a complex, intimidating manner.
We needed to unify various management views (e.g., Optimizations, Clusters, Users) into a cohesive system, while ensuring the layout was fully responsive and accessible across web and tablet devices. Integrating a "dark mode" that maintains high data readability and consistency was also a key technical and visual challenge.
We successfully delivered a new design, that simplifies complex data visualization and navigation, making server management more efficient and intuitive for DevOps professionals.
The final product is a professional, accessible, and user-friendly tool that sets a new standard for a technical SaaS platform.

How we started: Our Discovery phase began with a deep immersion into the technical SaaS domain, including a comprehensive competitor analysis of leading platforms like Confluent, Redpanda, and Aiven.
This research allowed us to uncover key user pains—such as the lack of simplicity and a unified experience—and to strategically lay the groundwork for a design that balances robust functionality with an intuitive and professional aesthetic.

We meticulously crafted user flows for the Superstream platform to organize its complex functionalities.
By charting every user path, we ensured a logical and efficient progression, minimizing friction for users exploring vast data and managing administrative tasks.
